- The icemaker module itself — motors, ejector arms, and thermostats inside the unit wear out; sometimes serviceable, sometimes a module replacement.
- A clogged water filter — overdue filters strangle flow until cubes come out hollow, tiny, or not at all. If yours hasn't been changed since you bought the fridge, mention it on the phone.
- A frozen supply line — the fill tube ices over and blocks everything downstream. We thaw it and then find out why it froze, because it usually comes back otherwise.
